You’ll receive individual guidance throughout the training, with hands-on practice covering consultation, scalp analysis, hairline design, density, pigment selection, machine setup, technique and client aftercare.

Our Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) training is a 3-day intensive program combining theory, demonstrations and hands-on practical training. You’ll learn consultation, scalp and hair analysis, machine and needle selection, pigment selection, technique, density, hairline design, treatment planning and aftercare.

Our Scalp Shading training is a separate 2-day intensive program focused specifically on the Scalp Shading technique, including proper technique, pigment selection, density and creating natural-looking results.

Your training includes everything you need to begin building your skills in Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) and/or Scalp Shading.

With years of hands-on experience in SMP, Rachel has developed a strong focus on creating natural-looking results, understanding different hair-loss patterns, and tailoring techniques to each individual client.

Training with Rachel goes beyond simply learning how to use a machine. You’ll learn the fundamentals behind SMP and Scalp Shading, including consultation, scalp and hair analysis, pigment selection, needle selection, technique, density, hairline design and treatment planning.

You’ll receive hands-on instruction, practical guidance and ongoing support as you continue developing your skills after training.

The goal is to help you build a strong foundation, develop confidence in your technique, and be prepared to offer SMP and Scalp Shading professionally.

Our in-person training takes place at the SMP by Rachel clinic in Vancouver, BC.

This training environment allows for focused, hands-on instruction and practical learning in a professional SMP clinic setting.

Specific training dates and scheduling details are provided when you register.

The deposit to reserve your training spot is $1,000 CAD.

The deposit is applied toward the total cost of your training, and the remaining balance is due according to your registration terms.

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) Training: $4,800 CAD
Scalp Shading Training: $3,500 CAD

A $1,000 CAD deposit is required to reserve your training date, with the remaining balance due before training.

Bundle both trainings: $7,500 CAD — save $800 when you enroll in both SMP and Scalp Shading training.

To keep the training personal and hands-on, I limit each class to a maximum of 4 students.

A $1,000 CAD non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your training spot. The deposit goes toward your total tuition.

No previous Scalp Micropigmentation experience is required. This is a foundational, hands-on training program designed to teach you the techniques and knowledge from the ground up.

A background in barbering, hairstyling, permanent makeup or a related beauty field can be helpful, but it is not required. What’s most important is having patience, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
